The plat-form serves as mass medium for community organization and communication. Moreover, the approach strengthens talen t among the community to engineer their own activities and preparing their development plans. The local-level superintending, on the other hand, is used to support information substitute and purpose making knowing by the communities. The communities identify relevant indicators to monitor their livelihoods including give away environmental elements. They discuss the results, decompose them and use them where appropriate for decision making. This provides a implement for identification of environmental changes touching livelihoods that may be based on management actions, climate variability, polity changes or other factors. The project contributes to mental object building and institutional development among communities so they can recruit their own resource management and livelihoods and thereby upraise their mental ability to manage and reduce risks related to drought and desertification and other potential disasters.
